Malalai Joya presented the “Simply Woman” award to the students of Kaj School who tragically lost their lives. Additionally, she extended recognition to the resilient women in Afghanistan who, despite facing oppression, remain vigilant and actively involved in resistance efforts.
The ceremony of the 10th “Semplicemente Donna” international award was held on Friday, November 18, at the Mario Spina Theater in Italy. This award is given to women from different countries who have worked bravely in areas like human rights, peace, gender equality, community activities, courage, journalism, sports, and scientific research.
This year, Malalai Joya won the award for standing up and fighting for women’s rights, peace, and justice.
